Dear Fellow Gratitude Enthusiast,
Are you tired of hearing and reading negative news everytime you flip on the television or open a newspaper? I am too! Today we are bombarded with harsh negative news day in and day out - it can honestly be totally depressing.
A research project on Gratitude and Thanksgiving, conducted by Robert Emmons (University of California-Davis) and Michael McCullough (University of Miami) has shown that grateful people have higher levels of positive emotion, life satisfaction, vitality, optimism, and lower levels of depression and stress.

Deanna Makes Me Think
Dear Deanna,
Some time ago, in the course of traveling through day-to-day life it was my habit to behave in a somewhat robotic fashion. The routines sucked me in and the repetitive motions of each day seemingly pulled me along. Every so often something would snap me out of that, make me stop and smell the roses, as they say, but often this was short lived.
Then a year ago - in came The Gratitude Collection, and Deanna, into my life. Deanna’s insights in her blog and scattered *throughout* her website (The Gratitude Circle), and even on Twitter and Facebook, have been the impetus for change for me. By regularly stopping by to ‘see’ Deanna online I find myself thinking about things I might not normally reflect on.
I have found myself growing and changing. Deanna makes me think. It’s all so good.
Life is good. Deanna and The Gratitude Circle help to remind of this.
